Aspen owners get special parking area at Sun ‘n Fun

By Janice Wood · March 22, 2010 ·

As part of Aspen Avionics’ sponsorship of General Aviation Parking during this year’s Sun ‘n Fun, arriving aircraft with Aspen panels will be directed to a unique parking area adjacent to the new Aspen Tram Stop. The Aspen Avionics customer parking area is located next to Aspen’s hospitality tent. This is the third year that Aspen has sponsored the General Aviation Parking area.

“It’s routine for aircraft models to be grouped together when parking at a major air show, but this is the first time we know of where aircraft will be grouped together according to their panels,” said Aspen Avionics Vice President of Marketing Brad Hayden.

Aspen Avionics will provide to any customers attending Sun ‘n Fun a PDF file to print out that will serve as a windshield sign. Upon landing, the Aspen owner will display this sign so that Sun ‘n Fun’s volunteer aircraft marshallers can direct them to the Aspen Avionics parking area.

“A side benefit of this area is for show attendees to see actual installations in diverse aircraft,” added Hayden. “We know our owners will be pleased to show off their new glass panels.”

The Aspen Avionics parking area is located in the western section of the General Aviation Parking area along taxiway E.
