ComLinkPro introduces the Angel, a small, lightweight audio headset interface with built-in stereo Bluetooth connectivity and a multitude of input and output jacks, as well as an integrated flight computer.
The Angel is the culmination of almost two years of research and development effort, according to company officials, noting it was designed specifically for aviators.
Angel makes use of Bluetooth, the same wireless technology that set the standard in wireless communications protocol, allowing you to connect your cell phone for sending and receiving calls. You can also stream music from Bluetooth-enabled MP3 players, cell phones, PDAs or satellite radios. The Angel allows you to download and navigate your contacts and call lists from your phone and to control your Bluetooth MP3 player directly. The unit has both cell phone and stereo audio jacks for wired connections, in addition to an audio output jack to record radio communications or to provide narration while videotaping.
The large, brightly colored, daylight readable screen has an auto-dimming feature, which means the screen and keypad are easy to read on the brightest days and will dim appropriately for the darkest cockpit.
The lithium ion battery will keep your Angel going longer than you can stay in the seat and provides headset power so you can still use all of the features out of the plane, company officials said. After 15+ hours of use it charges through a standard Mini-USB port that also doubles as the PC interface for downloading updates.
