A Town Hall Meeting to stop the TSA’s Large Aircraft Security Program (LASP) will be held March 27 at at Peach State Aerodrome (GA2), south of Atlanta in Williamson, Ga.
Speakers include John Hyle, airline captain and warbird pilot and Alan Armstrong, aviation attorney and published author. U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) also is expected to share his thoughts via telephone during the event, according to organizers.
The meeting, which begins at 2 p.m., includes a short presentation on the legislative issues so far to stop LASP and an detailed explanation of what LASP would mean should the TSA enact it, organizers said, noting “at this time, we are awaiting the modified version (to be issued as a Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking) soon — it may or may not be out by the meeting date.”
