New FAR/AIM iPhone app from ASA

By Janice Wood · March 24, 2010 ·

With ASA’s new FAR/AIM app, reference, study and review just became more portable and as close as your iPhone or iPod Touch.

ASAThe new FAR/AIM app contains complete and up-to-date information from Titles 14 and 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 and 49 CFR) pertinent to pilots, flight instructors, and flight crew, combined with the Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and Pilot/Controller Glossary. Additional features include: free updates, color AIM figures, ASA’s fully searchable combined FAR and AIM index, powerful text search, profile and landscape view, and “Study by Certificate” lists so aviators can hone in on the pertinent rules for their individual certificate, operation, or area of interest.

FAR/AIM for iPhone is the latest in a suite of mobile aviation applications from ASA including nine Prepware titles providing preparation, study, and testing tools for FAA Knowledge Exams. Prepware apps are available for Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot, Commercial Pilot, CFI, Flight Engineer, ATP, Aviation Maintenance Technician, and Military Competency. Price: $9.99.
