CFI Renewals are now available through AVSeminars’ Flight Instructor Refresher Clinics (FIRC) webinars. The first seminar, originally slated for April 3-4, has been rescheduled for the following weekend, April 10-11.
The FAA gave AVSeminars approval Feb. 26 to offer the nation’s first CFI Renewal through a “live” webinar. The process of renewing a CFI certificate is “virtually” identical to attending a live FIRC, without the travel and hotel costs, organizers said. All that’s needed are a PC or Mac, a web-cam, a microphone and high speed web access.
Only 24 positions are available. CFIs who have renewal months of April, May, June and July can register at AVSeminars.com.
AVSeminars continues to offer its series of “live” FIRCs presented by The ALPHAVICTOR Companies with a visit to Fort Lauderdale on April 17-18.
Registration fee for either the webinar or live presentation is $69, which includes the FAA Temporary Airman’s Certificate.
