LoPresti names new CEO

By Janice Wood · April 12, 2010 ·

LoPresti Aviation has named RJ Siegel Chief Executive Officer at the new LoPresti offices in Sebastian, Florida. Siegel, a pilot, aircraft homebuilder, educator, engineer and businessman, was a member of the original MacIntosh team at Apple Computer. He also designed the first aviation iPod based, black-box system which simultaneously plays music, logs flight data, phones home and more.

1Founded by Roy LoPresti and bolstered by the addition of his son, Curt, Jim, Roy and David LoPresti, the company serves general aviation from Light Sport Aircraft to larger jets. “Today, LoPresti is considered the Gold Standard in drag reduction, the science of aircraft efficiency. My intention,” said Siegel, “is to bring our expertise to the commercial and military markets, kicking it up a notch. If I can add a bit of Apple passion for innovation and ‘insanely great products,’ we will spark an infectious change for the entire industry”
