The Instrument Pilot Online training course from Jeppesen follows in the footsteps of its Private Pilot and Sport Pilot online training courses.
The instrument course includes the minimum 30 hours of ground instruction and offers a host of features that include scenario-based lessons and decision making. The course stresses the importance of single pilot resource management.
The web-based application sports three version: Part 61 student, Part 61 flight school, or Part 141 flight school. A one-year subscription for an individual student is available from JeppDirect.com for $259. Renewals are $39 per year.
U.S. Aviation at Denton Municipal Airport in Texas has launched its online 141 ground school using Jeppesen’s Online Training Course. The application will allow U.S. Aviation instructors to track student progress.
“We’re one of the first to offer an alternative to Part 141 classroom training, which is the first step in serving the needs of the students and will aid in attracting students in aviation,” says Mike Sykes, CEO of US Training Academy.
