Sun ‘n Fun veteran, future pilot

By Janice Wood · May 6, 2010 ·

Camden Cygan, of Lakeland, Florida, isn’t old enough to go to kindergarten yet, but he’s already a Sun ‘n Fun veteran. Note the wide brimmed hat to keep the sun off his face and the sunglasses for better airport vision. He also has a wagon for when his legs get tired. Pulling the wagon is the job of his father, Mark Cygan, who reports that aviation is in the family. He learned to fly as a boy and went to college hoping to be an airline pilot, but the jobs were not there, so he flew for fun. The economy has made it tough to keep flying, he said, adding, “I hope that my little boy will have a better shot at aviation if he so chooses.”
