Honeywell sponsors lecture series at Museum of Flight

By Janice Wood · May 9, 2010 ·

Honeywell Aerospace has provided The Museum of Flight in Seattle a Honeywell Hometown Solutions Grant to help support a series of lectures, known as The Museum of Flight Honeywell Explorer Lecture Series. The speakers will be known experts in the field of aerospace. On June 5 at 2 p.m., four-time Shuttle astronaut Steve Robinson will deliver a presentation about his February 2010 mission to the International Space Station.

Don Wilt, Honeywell director of public affairs said, “Honeywell has made math and science a central priority of their community improvement initiative, Honeywell Hometown Solutions. And for good reason: all indications are that after decades of leadership in aviation and space exploration, the U.S. is at risk of losing its competitive scientific edge. Anything we can do to stimulate people’s awareness and interest in science, we’re going to do, and the Honeywell lecture Series at The Museum of Flight is just one more example.”
