West Star Aviation consolidates avionics facilities

By Janice Wood · June 16, 2010 ·

West Star Aviation Inc. will consolidate all surplus avionics sales and service at its facility at St. Louis Regional Airport (ALN) in East Alton, Illinois, effective immediately, closing its division in Hiawatha, Iowa. “This consolidation allows us to control expenses during more difficult economic times,” said Jim Swehla, VP of sales & marketing.

To make the consolidation as seamless as possible, all current contact information will remain and be automatically transferred to the ALN location, company officials said. This facility can be reached by telephone at 618-259-0765 or fax 618-259-0815.

West Star’s Surplus Avionics Division is a supplier of overhauled units for exchange, rental or outright sale. It buys or consign surplus avionics and instruments inventories as well as specializes in corporate and regional turbine-powered aircraft avionics and instruments. Overhauled and serviceable parts are certified by the OEM or by FAA authorized repair facilities.
