Zenith Aircraft Co.’s “Fly In To Summer” Builder Fly-In Gathering is scheduled for Saturday, June 26, at the Zenith factory at Mexico Memorial Airport (MYJ) in Mexico, Missouri. Aviation enthusiasts, especially builders and owners of Zenith Aircraft kit planes, are invited to drive or fly-in for the day.
This is an informal grass-roots fly-in gathering open to all aviation enthusiasts, said Zenith officials, who note that owners of completed Zenith Aircraft are encouraged to fly-in for the activities and to show off their completed project to fellow builders. The gathering is an excellent opportunity for owners and builders of Zenith Aircraft planes to meet with each other and to tour the Zenith Aircraft facilities, officials said.
On the two days prior to the Fly-In, Zenith is hosting one of its factory workshops where participants gain hands-on kit aircraft building experience. (Prior registration is required to attend the workshop).
Can’t make it Saturday? Zenith is holding its 19th annual Open Hangar Day Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Zenith factory. Activities start Friday afternoon, when a number of workshops are scheduled. The Zenith Aircraft kit production facilities will be open for factory tours on Saturday. Company staff will demonstrate kit production and fabrication techniques used in producing the all-metal kit aircraft parts made at the Zenith Aircraft factory. The company’s kit and LSA models will be on display, including the high wing STOL CH 750 and the low wing ZODIAC CH 650. Select suppliers also plan to attend to showcase their products and meet with builders.
