RECMAR Products acquires Galietti line

By Janice Wood · June 27, 2010 ·

RECMAR Products and Galietti Company have agreed to transition the complete Galietti product line to RECMAR Products, effective immediately. Al Galietti, the president of Galietti Company, passed away in late May, following a prolonged illness.

The Galietti line of products includes a wide range of aluminum and vinyl headliner retainers, panel retainers, retainer caps, curtain tracks, snap tape, and curtain glides. Notable Galietti customers include Gulfstream Aerospace, Piper Aircraft, Cessna, LearJet, and Airstream, along with a wide range of aviation and aircraft interior companies. All Galietti phone and fax lines have been redirected to RECMAR Products and will remain in use.

“Al Galietti was very well respected throughout the industry,” noted Keith Harrison, president of RECMAR Products. “Recent conversations with Galietti’s customers and suppliers leave no doubt how fond people were of Al, and he will certainly be missed. Our priority now becomes effectively maintaining the strong reputation of the Galietti brand moving forward, while leveraging RECMAR’s strengths and the natural synergies that exist between the two product lines.”

RECMAR Products is a manufacturer and distributor of curtain track systems and drapery hardware. With a long history of manufacturing products similar to those offered by Galietti, the addition of the Galietti line of products to RECMAR’s is a natural fit, Harrison said, noting there is little overlap in products or customers, despite the product similarities. RECMAR’s experience in supplying the automotive industry will allow for a smooth transition into the aviation segment, he added. This deal also allows RECMAR to quickly capitalize on operational efficiencies.

Art Galietti, Al’s brother, has assumed the role of president of Galietti Company to manage the transition. He will also serve as a consultant to RECMAR, bringing 30 years of experience in marketing and advertising, as well as significant product knowledge attained during the time early in his career spent with Galietti Company. “This agreement is a form of high respect to the memory of my brother, Al, as well as the Galietti name,” said Art.
