Disposable refueling mat protects airplanes

By Janice Wood · July 4, 2010 ·

Protecting aircraft surfaces from hose and nozzle damage, as well as catching fuel overages, the patented Chadd Padd enables linemen, owners and pilots to be proactive rather than reactive, while saving time and costly HAZMAT clean up.

Designed specifically for the aviation industry, the Chadd Padd is a reusable, over-wing refueling mat that can hold up to 11 oz. of petroleum products. With two, different-sized, partially-perforated punch-outs, it accommodates a variety of refueling ports, including Avgas and Jet-A. Manufactured out of the same material already required for spill response, the mat can handle most any fuel, oil or hydraulic fluid, including Prist and Skydrol and the inks are petroleum resistant. It’s also disposable, in accordance with applicable regulations.

A box of 18 Chadd Padds retails for $29.95. Wholesale quantities are also available. Enter promo code EZFUEL8 at ChaddPadd.com to save 10%. For more information: 888-EZ-FUEL-8 (888-393-8358).
