The Terrafugia Transition, known popularly as the flying car, is catching widespread attention these days. A recent AP story notes that the company plans to make its first delivery next year after clearing a major hurdle when the FAA granted a special weight limit exemption to the LSA.
The AP story quotes Terrafugia VP Richard Gersh:
“It’s the next ‘wow’ vehicle. Anybody can buy a Ferrari, but as we say, Ferraris don’t fly.”
