Amy Laboda has joined the American Air Campers Association advisory board. American Air Campers Association (AACA) is a new association founded by Don Abbott to promote, protect and preserve the combined freedoms of flying and camping in America.
Laboda, who has been flying since 15, holds Airline Transport Pilot, glider and gyroplane ratings, and is a single and multi-engine instrument flight instructor. During her career, she has towed gliders, flown ultralight aircraft, wrestled with aerobatics and dabbled in skydiving. An aircraft owner, Laboda resides in an aviation community in Southwest Florida with her husband (a retired airline captain, avid pilot and aircraft builder) and two daughters. In 2001, she became the editor in chief of Aviation For Women magazine. She also is a FAA FAAST Team representative.
