What reportedly happened: The pilot was attempting to takeoff from a rural airport at dusk. During the takeoff roll a deer moved into the path of the airplane. The pilot aborted the takeoff but could not avoid hitting the animal with the left wing.
Probable cause: The collision with a deer during the takeoff roll.
