A trip to Starbuck

By Janice Wood · July 11, 2010 ·

EAA Chapter 551 in St. Cloud/Little Falls, Minn., is one of the more active chapters, regularly scheduling fly-outs throughout the state. Member Mark Priglmeier regularly sends us updates on their adventures, as well as lots of cool photos. Their latest adventure, to Starbuck Airport (D32), included a Chris Cakes (pancake) breakfast, as well as a walk to the nearby lake, where members were lucky enough to see a Beech 18 on floats.

Caroline’s young brother Leroy Schwab flew in with his friend John Amies, and alerted us to this ‘event page’. Thanks for posting! And thank you Lee, for the URL to get here.

We’re not sure we recognize the little “yellow & black bird” though. Is it a Mustang?

Are you freakin’ kidding me?! I was there that day and photographed all the planes that were posted here except that Beech! I can’t believe I missed it! Well, thanks for informing me!
