Open Cockpit Day at OAK

By Janice Wood · July 12, 2010 ·

The Oakland Aviation Museum at Oakland International Airport’s Historic North Field (OAK) in California will host an Open Cockpit Day, Sunday, July 18, from noon to 4 p.m.

Sit in the cockpit of various jet fighters from a Korean era MiG-15 to a Vietnam era A-7 Corsair II like that flown by the Lt. Costello, the last casualty of that conflict. See simulators for training military pilots or relax in the general’s seat in the museum’s Air Force executive transport jet.
