CoDeveloper has launched PilotFAR/AIM 4.1, with new support for the Apple iPad. PilotFAR/AIM now runs on the full gamut of Apple iOS devices including the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, and is a free upgrade for existing users. CoDeveloper also offers individual PilotFAR and PilotAIM apps, which are also now available with iPad support.
PilotFAR/AIM includes the full text and figures of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 14 (14 CFR), Title 49 Part 830 (NTSB 830), the FAA Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and the FAA Pilot/Controller Glossary (P/CG). CoDeveloper provides free updates to the content, alongside product enhancements, two to three times per year.
PilotFAR/AIM 4.1 is a major upgrade from the previous release and includes several productivity-enhancing features for users:
- iPad Support. On the iPad, PilotFAR/AIM uses the entire screen to display both the CFR/AIM index, and the current topic.
- Improved Searching. Users can now search the entirety of the included CFR, AIM, and P/CG content with a single search and view search results in a separate window. Fully indexed search results are near instantaneous.
- User Interface and Performance Enhancements. The app is now faster and easier to use with more customization options including font size and theme selection.
- iOS4 Compatibility. Runs on Apple’s new iOS4 on iPhone 4 or older devices that have been upgraded.
PilotFAR/AIM is available now in the App Store for $9.99. Follow this link to see PilotFAR/AIM in the AppStore. For more information: apps4pilots.com
