Q&A with Clay Lacy

By Janice Wood · July 13, 2010 ·

In a Q&A story recently posted on the San Fernando Valley Business Journal website, legendary pilot Clay Lacy talks about everything from being inducted in the National Aviation Hall of Fame later this month to the underappreciation of GA to his relationship with Bill Lear, in which he’s quoted as saying:

“I knew Bill Lear and he used to tell me ‘Anytime at all you come to Wichita and I’ll pay you a hundred dollars a day.’ I went back there and had so much fun that I never sent him a bill for anything.”
