Cessna has named Jim Heasley general manager of the company’s Citation Service Center in Greensboro, N.C. Heasley, formerly the maintenance manager at Greensboro, is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds an A&P license. A native of New York, he has 20 years experience in aerospace, 13 of those at Cessna.
The Greensboro Citation Service Center is one of the busiest in the Cessna network and handled 2,200 service orders in 2009, according to Cessna officials. The Greensboro center opened in 1994 and completed an expansion in 2008.
Cessna also is adding a new mobile service unit to its growing fleet, this one to be based in Texas. This will bring to seven the number of MSUs in operation in the U.S., with eight more planned in the near future, including the company’s first MSUs in Europe and Canada.
