Sporty’s introduces tear-proof charts

By Janice Wood · July 22, 2010 ·

Sporty’s laminated charts won’t rip, wrinkle or stain, say company officials, who note their thick coating resists damage, but still allows for the charts to be folded. All United States Sectional Charts are available in the tear-proof format.

“If you’re a frequent flyer or a flight instructor, you’ll appreciate the sturdiness of these charts,” said Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman. “You won’t have to use kid gloves with them.”

The Tear-proof Charts can also be used with grease pencils to mark courses or to make notes or be used as a wall hanging. Price: $16.50.
