Concorde debuts LSA battery

Concorde Battery Corp. unveiled a battery specifically designed for Light Sport Aircraft at this year’s AirVenture: The RG-12LSA,  a recombinant gas (RG Series) maintenance-free, sealed lead acid battery that never needs water or electrolyte, according to company officials.

The RG-12LSA features Concorde’s 8mm (roughly 5/16”) terminal bolts of corrosion-free silicon bronze and the absorbed glass mat (AGM) design builds shake and vibration resistance into the internal plate structure, company officials noted, addidng the batteries will begin shipping in October.
