Duncan Aviation’s Rapid Response Team celebrates 10th anniversary

By Janice Wood · August 1, 2010 ·

This fall, Duncan Aviation’s Rapid Response Teams will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the first Duncan Aviation Rapid Response Team location.

Starting in the fall of 2000 with the opening of an office location for Duncan Aviation engine technicians in the Dallas area, the Rapid Response Team concept was born. These teams consist of up to four engine technicians specializing in engine troubleshooting, regional support and AOG assistance. Team capabilities include routine inspections and vibration surveys, engine changes, on-the-wing repairs, engine removals & replacements (R&Rs), periodic inspections and line maintenance support for all Honeywell models, Pratt & Whitney, JT15D, 300 and 500 series, General Electric CF34 and Williamson FJ44. In addition to AOG engine support, Rapid Response Team technicians are available for APU assistance.

The teams are located so technicians can be quickly dispatched to a customer location or the location where a customer is AOG. Besides Dallas, Duncan Aviation Rapid Response Team locations include New York, Chicago, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Atlanta, Scottsdale and the latest addition in Provo, Utah. In many locations, the Rapid Response team is located near a Duncan Avionics satellite facility.
