Sporty’s has relaunched its LearntoFlyHere.com website with anew content to make flight training easier and more accessible to prospective pilots.
The site includes 20 minutes of video separated into four parts: why you should learn to fly; how to go about learning to fly; a typical first lesson; and how to select a flight school. Also new to the site is a learn-to-fly blog written from the viewpoint of a variety of Sporty’s flight instructors, including regular contributions from Founder/Chairman Hal Shevers. Topics include how to find a good flight school, the benefits of the Recreational Pilot license and personal training stories.
“We want people who are looking for learn-to-fly information to know they have a team of experts on their side,” said Sporty’s Academy President Eric Radtke. “Our goal is to provide an interesting mix of information from a variety of personalities.”
A flight school database helps students find a flight school close to home. LearnToFlyHere.com also offers a Student Pilot Store where new pilots are shown what equipment and gear they will need in the flight training process.
“Our main goal of the site is to provide a friendly and useful environment to new pilots so that they feel welcome and comfortable,” added Radtke. “Our community of general aviation pilots needs new entrants to ensure a healthy future for all of us.”
