Museum Day is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian Media in which participating museums across the country open their doors for free to anyone presenting a Museum Day Ticket. As a Smithsonian affiliate, The Museum of Flight in Seattle, the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Mich., and the Commemorative Air Force’s Airpower Museum in Midland, Texas, are among the aviation museums that will offer free admission Sept. 25.
The Museum Day Ticket is available to download at Smithsonian.com/MuseumDay. Visitors who present the official pass will gain free admission for two people to participating museums and cultural venues. One ticket is permitted per household, per email address. Listings and links to participating museums’ and sponsors’ sites can be found at the site.
