Flight plan for your future

By Janice Wood · August 29, 2010 ·

When you think of a career in aviation, being a pilot or flight attendant usually comes to mind. But the range of opportunities in the aviation industry is much broader than that. St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin, is bringing together some top aviation executives for a panel discussion, “Flight Plan For Your Future,” on Thursday, Sept. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the F.K. Bemis International Center on campus. They’ll discuss the options in the aviation industry including marketing, human resources, finance, IT and web design.

The panel will consist of:

  • Tim Romenesko, President and COO of AAR Corp. AAR is a leading provider of products and value-added services to the worldwide aviation/aerospace industry.
  • Jim Rankin, President and CEO of Air Wisconsin, the largest privately held regional airline in the United States.
  • Dan Dickinson, Chairman and CEO of General Aviation Services. Their business is buying, selling, brokering and leasing commercial and business aircraft, helicopters, engines and spare parts worldwide.
  • Tom Miller, Austin Straubel Airport director. As the third largest airport in the state of Wisconsin, Austin Straubel International Airport operates a 24-hour, 365-day a year operation. The airport provides job opportunities for more than 2,000 people in northeast Wisconsin.

The event is free and open to St. Norbert College students and the general public.
