Sporty’s releases flight review app

By Janice Wood · September 2, 2010 ·

Now you can prepare for your next flight review on the go, with Sporty’s Flight Review app. All you need is an iPhone, iPad or any iPod Touch.

Based on Sporty’s Complete Flight Training Course, the Flight Review app contains over 96 minutes of 3D animations and in-flight video, which plays full size. Using a visual menu system, Flight Review is broken down into six subject areas and 42 individual video segments.

Sporty’s Vice President John Zimmerman says, “Use this app to improve your skills anywhere you have your iPhone. The video quality is exceptional, even on a small screen, and you don’t need a WiFi or 3G connection – it will even work in an airplane.”

The intuitive menu system allows the user to quickly access the topics you want to cover. You can pick and choose or watch the entire program for a comprehensive review. The six topics covered are: Aeromedical Factors; Airspace; Publications (charts and NOTAMs); Regulations; Airport Signs and Markings; and Weather.

The Flight Review App is available for $29.99 and may be downloaded for immediate use at Sportys.com/apps.
