Wicks Aircraft Supply will host a one-day forum at its facilities in Highland, Ill., on Saturday, Oct. 9, with a variety of speakers from Rod Hightower, the new EAA president, to an expert on glass cockpits for experimentals. The company hopes to make the forum an annual event. Joining Hightower as a speaker will be Mary Jones, editor of Sport Aviation, who will discuss EAA publications and Ron Wagner who will introduce the highlights of EAA Leadership Workshops. John Monnett plans to discuss his company’s progress with its E-Flight program. Paul Lupton is going to explain the joys and frustrations of running a summer aviation academy for middle school students and Robert Hamilton of Dynon Avionics will explain how to install and get the most out of a glass cockpit.
At 8:30 a.m., prior to the speakers, and immediately following the program, at 4:15 p.m., Wicks will provide tours of its facilities along with tours of the Wicks Organ factory. The speakers will begin talking at 9:45 a.m. Wicks will provide coffee and doughnuts in the morning and will supply a free box lunch at mid-day.
The event is free to pilots, although reservations are required. For more information: WicksAircraft.com or 800-221-9425.
