Live broadcast from Glenn Curtiss Museum Saturday

By Janice Wood · September 16, 2010 ·

Rudy Maxa, a consumer travel expert, will broadcast his radio show, “Rudy Maxa’s World,” from the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, N.Y., on Saturday, Sept. 18. The two-hour show will be broadcast live from 10 a.m. to noon on more than 120 stations nationwide and on Sirius/XM radio Saturday evening from 10 p.m. to midnight.

Museum Executive Director Trafford Doherty welcomes Maxa and the national spotlight he will shed on the museum. “Glenn Curtiss achieved worldwide recognition for his pioneering developments in aviation. Hammondsport was a hub of aircraft production, yet many people are not aware of the contributions Curtiss and Hammondsport made in the early days of the aviation industry. The museum houses a priceless collection of early aircraft and exhibits that tell this important story. First-time visitors are amazed to learn that many aviation design features in use today were developed by Curtiss here in Hammondsport. We’re delighted Rudy will help us share the museum and the Glenn Curtiss story with a national audience.”
