AirGlades Airport (2IS), a Florida GA airport about 80 miles from Miami, has applied for the last of five spots in the FAA’s test privatization program, according to a Dow Jones Newswire story. If the application is accepted, the county-owned airport will join Midway Airport in Chicago, Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans, Luis Munoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico, and Briscoe Field near Atlanta in the FAA program.
