Available for Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, and Mooney aircraft, the Hush Kit utilizes Armacell (Ensolite) GIC soundproofing/insulation, which has excellent vibration damping and noise absorption capabilities, according to company officials, who note Ensolite provides the best value in the market today with its thermal qualities and weight of 3.2 oz per sq. ft.
Recent tests show that you can expect noise level reductions of 4–7 dB (a) and 10–15 dB (c). In addition, the Hush Kit is pre-cut for your convenience, saving hours of installation time. Plane Plastics can also install the Hush Kit for you in its newly opened Completion Center, saving even more prep time. All materials meet FAR 25:853 (a), Appendix F, Part 1 (a) (1) (ii) for flammability. Certificate provided with each kit.
