Development planned for W.Va.’s Morgantown Municipal Airport

By Janice Wood · September 28, 2010 ·

A new National Guard Readiness Center, Technology Park and 40 new T-hangars are planned at Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) in West Virginia, according to a report in The State Journal that notes:

“This prime 400-acre tract of land has sat idle for decades because of the lack of good road access and utilities. This is changing, however, as the city of Morgantown, the Monongalia County Commission, the Monongalia County Development Authority and the West Virginia Army Reserve National Guard are jointly investing over $5 million to bring a quality access road and high capacity infrastructure to this site in order to support a multi-purpose development.”
