By Janice Wood · October 3, 2010 ·

“This certification enables us to provide aircraft owners with maintenance, repair and inspection work at an even lower cost,” said Mike Saathoff, director of maintenance sales, Elliott Aviation.

Elliott Aviation currently performs maintenance on aircraft manufactured by Beech, Hawker, Cessna, Embraer, Daher-Socata, Dassault and Bombardier.

    Hi Elliots,Herb and wife,
Do you remember me? I bought a Twin Bonanza from you and your beautiful wife about 1959 for the Rock Island Lumber Co. I went on to a good career as an Engineering Test Pilot for Douglas Aircraft. Flew the DC8,DC 9 and DC 10. I flew international for airlines on contract to Douglas. I had to stop flying for the airlines because of the age 60 rule. I retired and commuted to Los Vegas and flew the Grand Canyon until I was 71. Several of us old goats restored the DC-2 and I flew it for 15 years. It’s in the Seattle Museum now.

I’m sorry I never had a chance to return to Davenport to say hello.
    Cheers, Dan Colburn
