Arnstein & Lehr, LLP recently launched its new Aviation Practice Group, spanning its South Florida and Chicago offices. The group provides legal services to aviation businesses and owners, operators and lessors in private and commercial aircraft transactions.
The members of the Aviation Practice Group include Florida partners Phillip M. Hudson, III (Miami), Ronald R. Fieldstone (Miami), Dale Bergman (Fort Lauderdale) and Robin S. Trupp (Tampa).
The firm is actively involved in the Beacon Council’s initiative to attract a major air show to South Florida through Phillip Hudson’s role as Chairman of its Aviation Committee. The Beacon Council is a public/private partnership focused on economic development.
Arnstein & Lehr’s Chicago team is comprised of partners Robert E. McKenzie and Edward A. Snyder, Associate Robert A. McKenzie, and Theresia E. Wolf-McKenzie, of counsel.
Members of the national practice group have experience in aviation transactions, including handling all aspects of the purchase, sale and leasing of private and commercial aircraft, officials say. The group also regularly represents banks and other institutional lenders who finance the purchase of commercial and private aircraft of all types. This representation includes assistance both with the documentation and perfection of the original transaction and with repossession and foreclosure of aircraft, aircraft components, and major parts including engines that have been pledged as collateral.
