Hops & Props takes off at the Air Zoo

By Janice Wood · October 12, 2010 ·

On Oct. 23 the Air Zoo in Kalamazoo, Mich., is holding Hops & Props — a night full of casino games, beer tastings, music and more.

From 7 p.m.-midnight, guests will be able to play casino games including roulette, blackjack, Texas hold ‘em, craps and more. They’ll also be able to enjoy a variety of beer tastes from regional microbreweries, in addition to hors d’ oeuvres. Participating microbreweries include Bell’s Brewery, Mount Pleasant Brewing Co., New Holland Brewing Co., Saugatuck Brewing Co. and more. Throughout the night, guests will also be able to enjoy the rhythms of Out of Favor Boys, a local blues band.

Tickets for Hops & Props are $50 per person and will include a starter pack of game chips and tickets for beer tastings. Tables of 10 may also be reserved for $500 each. All proceeds will benefit the Air Zoo. Guests must be at least 18 years old to participate in gaming and at least 21 years old to sample beer.
