Recently featured in a story at PhillyBurbs.com is the Flying W Airport and Resort (N14), a privately owned operation that features a restaurant and motel, an 18-hole golf course, a venue for weekend concerts, and, most famously, an airplane-shaped swimming pool. The story quotes Andrew Hartman, the airport’s assistant manager:
“I can say for sure there is not another place like this east of the Mississippi and probably not anywhere in the country.”
