TWG Aviation completes Vitesse purchase

By Janice Wood · October 17, 2010 ·

TWG Aviation LTD (TWG), parent of Business Jet Access (BJA) and Business Jet Center (BJC), has finalized the purchase of various assets of Vitesse Aviation at Dallas Love Field (DAL).

TWG acquired the lease-hold improvements comprised of 7.5 acres with two existing hangars. Vitesse had operated a FBO, as well as an aircraft maintenance and charter business at Love Field for the past four years.

TWG will now begin the process of absorbing the Vitesse aircraft maintenance, aircraft charter and management, and FBO fueling business into its current operations. Vitesse is retaining its FAR Part 145 certificate and is moving the landing gear, component and machining business to a facility near Love Field where it will continue to provide private and commercial carrier repairs.

According to Mike Wright, a Partner in TWG, the current aircraft maintenance, charter and aircraft management businesses will move to the acquired site. As a result, additional hangar space will become available at the current Business Jet Center location on Lemmon Avenue.

Business Jet Access (BJA) is a provider of aircraft charter, management, maintenance and pilot services. BJA currently manages 12 aircraft and operates 11 of these on its Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. These aircraft range in size and type from King Air and Citations to Challenger, Falcon, Gulfstream and a 30-passenger BAC 1-11 which is configured to accommodate sports teams, clients in the entertainment industry and financial markets. BJA, based at Love Field, is charter operator and an FAA Part 145 Repair Station.
