Missouri Senate hopeful PIC

By Janice Wood · October 18, 2010 ·

Missouri Democratic Senate hopeful Robin Carnahan has her own campaign plane, and a special place in it — the pilot’s chair. According to a story at STLToday.com, Carnahan, daughter of Mel Carnahan, who died 10 years ago in a plane crash, has been a pilot since the 1990s. The story quotes state Rep. Rachel Storch, who says:

“Robin’s flying is a reflection of her personality — she’s meticulous, she’s deliberate, and she demonstrates this measured fearlessness. Robin has always been someone that is willing to take on big challenges, and she flies that way, too.”

How did her brother’s wind farm get a hundred million stimulus dollars. Ground her plane and investigate the corruption rather than giving her a free political ad.

I’m sure the taxpayer’s are picking up the cost for her travel and expenses.

I wish I could read your comments if she was a Republican. Same article, just different political affiliation. She would be an “American Patriot Hero Aviator.”

Please, Just because Robin flies does not make her a hero. “Measured Fearlessness”, “Big Challenges”. Flying an aircraft around MO is just plain easy and simple. Airspace is pretty unrestricted. I am retired fighter pilot whit combat experience and a Commercial pilot to boot. This is nothing but a political statement.

And after November 2nd she’ll have plenty of time to enjoy flying, too, since voters will help her retire from politics.
