Help for your instrument proficiency check

By Janice Wood · November 11, 2010 ·

Now it’s easier than ever to prepare for your next Instrument Proficiency Check with the latest app from Sporty’s for iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. This app presents all the material you’ll need to pass your IPC — or to simply review procedures as needed.

Based on Sporty’s Complete Instrument Rating Course, the Instrument Proficiency Check app contains 3D animations and in-flight video. Using a visual menu system, the app is broken down into six subject areas and 26 individual video segments.

An intuitive menu system allows the user to quickly access the topics you want to cover. You can pick and choose or watch the entire program for a comprehensive review. The six topics covered are: IFR Flight Review; Basic Attitude Instrument Flight; Aircraft Systems & Preflight; Navigation, Clearances, & Holding; Approaches; and Emergencies.

The video plays full size on the iPad, iPhone 365, and high-resolution iPhone 4.

The Instrument Proficiency Check App is available for $39.99 and may be downloaded for immediate use at Sportys.com/apps.
