West Star offers mobile support

By Janice Wood · November 15, 2010 ·

West Star Aviation offers mobile support for aircraft owners through West Star South, a mobile Support Team from the company’s Dallas, Texas, (DAL) location.

The team is composed of technicians and inspectors who respond to customer and aircraft needs, traveling to many locations within the state of Texas, and several neighboring states, performing light maintenance discrepancies and inspections, as well as engine changes on the road, depending on facilities available.

“Our team usually responds to two to three offsite locations a week,” said Al Diaz, Operations Manager at the Dallas Love Field facility.

West Star Aviation, Inc. specializes in airframe repair and maintenance, engine repair and maintenance, major modifications, avionics installation and repair, interior refurbishment, paint, parts, surplus avionics sales, and accessory services. With facilities in East Alton, Ill.; Grand Junction, Colo.; Columbia, S.C.; Aspen, Colo., and Dallas, the company also provides complete FBO services for transient aircraft at its newly remodeled East Alton and Grand Junction facilities.
