FlightSafety’s King Air sim gets FAA nod

By Janice Wood · December 14, 2010 ·

FlightSafety International’s new Beechcraft King Air 350 full flight simulator has been qualified to Level D by the FAA. The simulator is located at FlightSafety’s Hawker Beechcraft Learning Center in Wichita.

“The Level D qualification of this new simulator by the FAA will enable us to serve the rapidly growing number of corporate and commercial operators and military and government agencies who rely on FlightSafety for King Air 350 training,” said Bruce Whitman, President & CEO.

The first initial training course using this new simulator was attended by pilots from Australia, France, the Philippines, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The simulator features the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Integrated Avionics System and is equipped with FlightSafety’s VITAL Visual System and electric motion and control loading technology.

FlightSafety has been the authorized training provider for aircraft offered by Hawker Beechcraft for more than 30 years. FlightSafety offers type specific training for pilots and maintenance technicians of Hawker Beechcraft aircraft at its Learning Centers in Atlanta; the Greater Philadelphia/Wilmington area; Houston, Texas; Lakeland, Florida; London Farnborough in the United Kingdom; Long Beach, California; Paris-Le Bourget, France; Toledo, Ohio; Wichita; and at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
