Youngsters flying high

By Janice Wood · December 27, 2010 ·

Even the youngest flying aces can get their official pilot’s license at this year’s Noon Year’s Eve celebration at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, Calif., which will include live stage entertainment, bounce houses, face painting, crafts and access to full-sized aircraft. And, kids can get a photo personalized pilot ID card.

“The kids are always fascinated with the flying machines and the aviation exhibits we have here,” said Willie Turner, Hiller Aviation Museum Vice President of Marketing, “and, Picturoo’s personalized flying license is the perfect memorabilia for them to remind them of their wonderful time here.”

Sponsored by the Bay Area Parent magazine, the party starts at 10 a.m. on Dec. 31. Attendees can enjoy the aviation history museum with aircraft exhibits, live entertainment, music, singers, exotic animals, food and a grand finale balloon drop at noon.
