Aviation safety organization, IMC Club International, Inc., has released a new iPhone application designed to disseminate aviation-related news to the pilot community.
The newly released application delivers the IMC News, IMC Monthly Blog and other aviation-related content to a pilot’s iPhone. The application is downloadable directly from IMCClubs.org.
The new application also allows pilots to comment and interact on their social networks, Facebook and Twitter. Pilots can comment on a variety of selected topics of interest to instrument related pilots as well as the news feed directly from the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE). A version for Android and iPad are currently under development.
IMCClubs.org plans on releasing an update to the application soon that will include a weekly video webcast from IMC TV studios in Norwood, Massachusetts. The webcast will include instructional content and opinions from IMCClub members. IMClubs.org President Radek Wyrzykowski commented: “It is so important that pilots, and especially flight instructors, stay current in the events that affect the world of aviation.”
The IMC Club is a membership-based organization focused on instrument rated pilots and flight instructors, with a network of chapters throughout the nation.
