New FAR-AMT app from ASA

By Janice Wood · January 9, 2011 ·

ASA’s new app puts maintenance regs at your fingertips and in your pocket. Reference, study, and review is now as close as your iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

ASA’s new FAR-AMT app features an intuitive, user-friendly interface and contains complete and up-to-date information from Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), as well as Advisory Circulars (ACs) pertinent to Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT), aircraft maintenance operations, and repair shops. In addition to all the information included in ASA’s printed FAR-AMT book, this app includes the Pilot Controller Glossary, the complete Aircraft Inspection, Repair and Alterations text (AC43.13-1B and AC 43.13-2B), and the Inspection Authorization Test Guide (FAA-G-8082-11B). The app is searchable, with the option of narrowing your search hits to regulations, Advisory Circulars, or both. Built-in Update feature keeps your data current.

The app is available in the iTunes App Store for $9.99.
