Cessna Pilots Association slates courses

By Janice Wood · January 10, 2011 ·

If you take a Systems and Procedures Course from the Cessna Pilots Association, CPA Executive Director John Frank promises, “You will learn more about your Cessna airplane than 99% of Cessna owners ever will.”

Each Systems and Procedures Course instructor is an experienced mechanic, aircraft owner and high-time pilot, he notes. The course takes the Cessna owner through all the aircraft systems and how they work, problem areas, maintenance tips and safe operation. A particularly interesting section of each seminar is powerplant management for efficiency and long engine life, Frank added.

For the first half of 2011 the following courses will be offered:

  • March 19-20 182R & Earlier
  • April 8-10 210/T210P210
  • May 13-15 337

All classes are held at the association’s headquarters in Santa Maria, California.

“Invest one weekend to be a safer and more knowledgeable owner,” says Frank. In addition, the courses are approved for A&Ps who hold an Inspection Authorization to comply with the FAA Inspection Authorization Refresher Training.

Tuition for the courses ranges from $495 to $550. For more information: Cessna.org or 805-934-0493
