Kentucky Airport Challenge slated

By Janice Wood · February 1, 2011 ·

The first-ever Kentucky Airport Challenge: Passport to Kentucky is set to take off this summer. The Kentucky Airport Challenge will encourage pilots to fly to participating general aviation airports, during June and July, for Kentucky General Aviation Appreciation Month, according to a report at ISurfMuhlenberg.com, which notes that pilots who participate will receive a passport, which must be stamped to validate their visit to each airport. During a free fly-in picnic at the Tompkinsville Airport on Saturday, July 30, prizes will be awarded to the pilots with the most airport visits.
