Finish your flight training at Sporty’s Academy

By Janice Wood · February 24, 2011 ·

Thousands of aspiring pilots begin a flight training program but never finish. Demands of work or family, finances, illness, a conflict with a flight instructor or a learning hurdle can keep even dedicated students from their goals. Sometimes it’s just a pause; sometimes it’s years before the student returns, and sometimes the student never does. Sporty’s Academy wants to help these “stalled” pilots achieve their dream of earning a pilot’s certificate with its “Finish Up” course.

“Just like when you transfer to a different college, we want to give you maximum credit for what you’ve already learned,” says Sporty’s Academy President Eric Radtke. “We’ll evaluate your training records, and/or logbook, talk to you in depth about your experience and build a customized flight training program just for you.”

An important component of Sporty’s “Finish Up” course is to recommend a realistic training schedule, he added.

“Our Finish-Up program is not intended to be a hurry-up program,” adds Radtke. “We will recommend a training schedule to make the most efficient use of the aspiring pilot’s time and money.”

Everything is in place at Sporty’s Academy, including an FAA-written testing center, an aviation library, an on-staff designated pilot examiner and an aviation medical examiner on site.
