Guy Maher, a contributing writer to General Aviation News, has won an “Excellence in Communication” award from the Helicopter Association International.
The award will be presented at a dinner in Orlando tonight (March 7), during Heli-Expo 2011, the world’s largest trade show dedicated to the international helicopter community.
A widely known and respected aviation photojournalist, Maher has spent 30 years providing a vital and unique firsthand perspective on the industry, while tangibly promoting a focus on safety, according to HAI officials. The Excellence in Communication award is given to the individual or organization achieving the most creative and distinct dissemination of information about the helicopter, they add.
