Landmark Aviation-RDU earns DCA gateway approval

By Janice Wood · March 8, 2011 ·

Landmark Aviation at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in North Carolina has earned DCA Access Standard Security Program (DASSP) approval, which means the FBO can now serve as a gateway for planes destined for DCA.

“It’s exciting for us at RDU because we have base customers that travel to DCA often,” Regional VP Jim McNeill explained. “We wanted to make it easier for our customers to get to where they’re going.”

McNeill hopes this will also bring new traffic to the FBO. For southern states, RDU will be a convenient stopping point for those heading on to DCA. Richmond, Va., has the only other approved FBO in the region.

“We have had a lot of requests and inquires,” McNeill said. “This is something that a lot of people wanted.”

Headquartered in Houston, Landmark Aviation operates a network of FBOs located throughout the U.S., and in Canada and Western Europe. For more information: LandmarkAviation.com
